Some of them only exist briefly in a labaotry.

Any substance that consist of only one type of atom is called an element.

Atoms usually hook up with other atoms to make moecules or ions.

When two different two kinds of atoms join it is called a compound.

For example: H2O,CO2

Amoeba reproduces by mitosis. Asexual reproduction by mitosis give off spring who are gentically identical to parents.

Reproduction in almost all living things is acomplished through cell division. There are two main types of cell didvision mitosis, and meiosis.

Mitosis- two identical daughter cells from one parent

Meiosis- production of gametes

Klinefelter Syndrome

I have been working on a project in my science class. It is about a genetic disease titled Kilnefelter Syndrome. Klinefeter Syndrome is a disorder that affects one in every 500 males. It usual happens during puberty. I find this to be sad because the male can get small testes, enlarged breast, little or no body and or facial hair. The Gnostic disease isn't that interesting after I did research on it.

In science class i have been learns about the cell. I find it interesting or weird and I would like to know really how is it that scientist have come up with all the information about it. The cell is so small that probably 100's or 1000's fit in the tip of your pencil if I am not mistaken. I have just finished learns about DNA. DNA is pretty cool because it is so skinny but it carries all of how information from eye color to hair color and foot shape to type of hair and every other things that make up your physical features.

Biology is a fun subject, but I would never take it during high school because it would suck big time just because I am taking it in the 8th grade. I like how everything comes together and there is an answer for everything. Unlike in other classes when you ask a question you know you will get an answer not an answer that not even the teacher knows what they are talking about.

My DNA model to DNA Reality

Today it is Wed. February2, 2005. In science class we have been doing models and biology. Biology is the study of life. Yesterday and today we have done a lab. The lab was about DNA strands and how they are constructed. I learned about the chemical bonds, base pair, sugar, phosphate, and base structure groups, the shape, and color of my models. A is rpesented by the color black, T is represented by the color brown, C is represented by the color blue, and G is reprsented by the color white. A is complementary to T and C is complementary to G. The real DNA bound between sugar and phospate and base group (held together) and in my model the string is what show the chemical bond. The base pair to the real DNA are represented by ATCG and in my model they were represented by pipe cleaners. This is what I did during science.
